Environment Statement
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) is at the core of our corporate culture. We at GDLS feel responsible towards the environment and have put in place, systems and checkpoints for monitoring and controlling each step of our processes. EHS commitment, objective, target and responsibilities are clearly defined at all levels in line with EHS policy. And these EHS parameters and improvement in performance are monitored over defined time periods.

Products and Packaging
PLUS and XGEN products are highly durable and can be 100% recycled at the end of its lifecycle. Due to the quality of raw materials used in our products, they last longer with minimum maintenance.

Right from procuring raw material to producing excellent laboratory furniture to product packaging and dispatch, we are committed to environment friendly manufacturing processes and use of packaging material that can be recycled. With continuous innovation in product development and product packaging, we avoid use of non-degradable material. Our environment team ensures that our products are packed with minimum packaging material which is recyclable and which occupies the least possible space in transportation.

Production and Waste Management
The team at GDLS is dedicated towards reduction of energy consumption, promotion of renewable energy, minimizing waste generation and increasing production. Only the best grade powder-coating material is used to ensure minimum wastage, almost zero effluents and low energy consumption in the process.
Effective Waste Disposal is also a high priority item. An efficient ETF (Effluent Treatment Facility) at our factory premises, helps us conserve fuel as we don't have to transport it to another treatment plant and also allows us to monitor the process at close quarters.

Occupational Health and Safety
Occupational Health and Safety is a vital part of GDLS's journey towards sustainable development. To achieve zero accident and ensure a healthy team, training on occupational health and safety is regularly given to all employees.

To impart comprehensive information to existing and new employees, various safety instructions and working procedures are displayed in the plant. To ensure that the safety programs reach all employees, GDLS has created a "Health and Safety Committee" under the Plant Manager, who organizes various programs internally and ensures all manufacturing processes meet OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.

Quality is an age-old practice at GDLS. All of our products are manufactured under ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. In addition, GDLS is the 1st in India to be certified SEFA compliant by Intertek, USA. (SEFA is the Scientific Equipment & Furniture Association of USA).

Every aspect of designing and manufacturing is monitored and controlled to ensure that our products meet or exceed the expectations of our customers.

XGEN Fume Hoods are randomly tested in India’s first such Test Laboratory, at the manufacturing stage as per guidelines of ASHRAE 110-1995 for their performance.

Being a member of SEFA, helps in continuous updating of quality standards and improvement of product performance.
